BSA Troop 820

All the dates that have been finalized have been added to our calendar (visible at the bottom of this page). In addition, we are planning the following but have not picked dates:

• November: East County Swim
• March: Trailblazers game
• April: Mini-golf
• June: Camp Namanu, Family Camp (biking)
• August: Ramona Falls
• September: Ropes course
• October: Mountain bike ride

Just a reminder that popcorn sales and apple/pear sales are going on now. Scouts who would like to pay their own way to Camp Parsons next summer should contact Dori Rodriguez-White for information and order forms.

Popcorn order forms and money should be turned in to Dori by October 25.

We’ll pick up apples and pears in Hood River on November 7. Please turn in your order forms to Dori at the meeting on November 1.

Troop 820 goes to Camp Pioneer this year from July 11th to July 18th. We’ll be having patrol meetings from between July 5 and July 8 to help plan which merit badge classes you’ll be taking. Patrol leaders should be sure to include our SPL and Mark Teeter in their planning meeting.

Troop 820 has successfully reserved a spot at Camp Parsons for the last week of July 2011.

It’s promising to be a busy summer for the scouts and families of Troop 820. Here’s a summary of all the events in which we’ll be participating.

June:

• 7: Weekly meeting (7:00-8:30) at the Moose Lodge
• 14: Weekly meeting (7:00-8:30) at the Moose Lodge
• 20-26: SOGUS Leadership Camp. Thomas Ring and Andrew Larson are attending.
• 21: Weekly meeting (7:00-8:30) at the Moose Lodge (Summer Camp prep)
• 28: Court of Honor (7:00-8:30) at the Moose Lodge

July:

• 5-8: Patrol meetings for summer camp prep (times TBA)
• 11-17: Summer camp at Camp Pioneer
• 26: Weekly meeting (7:00-8:30) at the Moose Lodge (Family Camp/High Adventure prep)

August:

• 3-8: Family camp in Brookings
• 9-14: High Adventure (dates estimated)
• 16: Weekly meeting (7:00-8:30) at the Moose Lodge
• 23: Weekly meeting (7:00-8:30) at the Moose Lodge
• 30: Weekly meeting (7:00-8:30) at the Moose Lodge

September:

• 13: Weekly meeting (7:00-8:30) at the Moose Lodge (Annual Planning)
