We had a good turnout on Saturday, December 4, for our annual Scouting for Food canned food drive. Snow Cap reported that we collected 490 pounds of food to help the needy. Thanks to all the boys that participated!

Calendar Problems
The calendar at the bottom of the page is currently placing events on the wrong days. This seems to be a problem with Google Calendar embedding and they are actively working to fix the problem. Until then, you should use the Agenda page or click on the “Google Calendar” button in the bottom right corner of the calendar.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
Update: This problem was fixed by Google and the calendar dates should appear correctly now.
Cooking and Swimming
As noted on the calendar, Cooking Merit Badge starts on Friday at Scouter’s Mountain. Attendees should meet at the Moose Lodge at 5:00 PM and caravan to Scouter’s Mountain. The program starts at 7:00 PM. Be sure to bring a blue card.
Also noted on the calendar, there will be no troop meeting next Monday, November 22. Instead we’ll be swimming at the East Portland Community Center. Be sure to talk to the merit badge counselor if you want to work on your Swimming Merit Badge.

All the dates that have been finalized have been added to our calendar (visible at the bottom of this page). In addition, we are planning the following but have not picked dates:
- November: East County Swim

- June: Camp Namanu, Family Camp (biking)
- August: Ramona Falls
- September: Ropes course

Fall Fundraising
Just a reminder that popcorn sales and apple/pear sales are going on now. Scouts who would like to pay their own way to Camp Parsons next summer should contact Dori Rodriguez-White for information and order forms.
Popcorn order forms and money should be turned in to Dori by October 25.
We’ll pick up apples and pears in Hood River on November 7. Please turn in your order forms to Dori at the meeting on November 1.
